To become a guide, you’ll need to have a deep understanding of the Western Ghats and its trekking trails, as well as a strong passion for the outdoors and a desire to share that passion with others. You should also be in good physical condition, as guiding treks can be physically demanding.

If your application is selected, you’ll be invited for an interview. During the interview, you’ll have the opportunity to speak with a member of our team about your qualifications and experience, as well as your passion for trekking and the outdoors.

If you are selected, you will be given a training on the following:

After the training, you will be taken on a field test with a senior guide, where you will be evaluated on your knowledge, skills, and leadership ability.

Once certified, you’ll be added to our guide team, and will have access to ongoing support and training opportunities to help you improve your skills and knowledge.

HighHawks is a fast-growing trek company and as a guide, you’ll have the opportunity to advance your career and take on more responsibilities. You could potentially move up to a lead guide, or take on other roles such as trip planning, or training new guides.
